Fiscal Q1 2027 organic sales rose 4%, led by 2.4% volume growth, and core EPS of $2.00 beat the $1.88 consensus. P&G kept full-year guidance (core EPS ~$7.00, organic sales +1–3%) even as the commodity headwind grew to $1.4B from $1.0B. But core EPS rose only 1%, core gross margin fell 150 bps, and the stock ran from $145 to $159 in the two weeks before the print. Shares were ~3% higher pre-market at ~$162, above the $162 mean target. Over the next 10–30 days PG trades on its own and against the market; the Colgate, Clorox and Kimberly-Clark reads decide whether the staples rotation holds.
Each report answers a single question stated on the first page. If the data can't answer it, the report says so and stops.
Every chart has the table behind it. Sample sizes, windows and exclusions sit in the colophon, not in a footnote you have to email for.
No positions, no managed money, no affiliate links. The verdict at the end of each report is a judgment, not a recommendation.
Information is aggregated as is and does not constitute a financial investment suggestion. Informational purposes only.
The analytics and market measures in each report are built in-house. Their inputs and outputs are shown; the methodology behind them stays proprietary.
Volatility Farm is an independent research desk. We pick what might be interesting for us in the given week, gather the data ourselves, and publish the working alongside the conclusion. Reports that fail to find anything get published too, because knowing a signal isn't there is worth as much as knowing it is.
We derive our own investment decisions based on these reports, manage no outside money, and take no sponsorship.
